EMW and Domaine de l’Oubliée signed an exclusive Distribution Agreement for Greater China

Shanghai, June 3rd, 2021 - East Meets West Fine Wines (Shanghai) Limited (EMW) and Domaine de l’Oubliée, an organic domaine of Loire Valley, France, signed an exclusive Distribution Agreement for Greater China, including Hong Kong & Macau.

 

 

Located in Saint Patrice, one of the 6 villages of the AOC Bourgueil, Domaine de l'Oubliée was created in 2009 by Xavier Courant, a former Parisian caviste who decided to get closer to wine.

 

Nowadays Xavier runs his 6 hectares vineyards (5 ha for Cabernet Franc, 1 ha for Chenin Blanc).

In the vineyard as in the cellar, Xavier's thinking is based on natural, organic and biodynamic principles. He has worked passionately to convert his entire state to organic viticulture, also using biodynamic practices. The results are fruit driven, extremely pure and expressive Cabernet Francs which is actually really nice to drink young.

Preparation 500: Horn Manure

 

This is made by stuffing cow manure into a cow's horn and burying the horn in the soil throughout the winter. Horn increases the content of soil organic matter, enhances the vitality of the soil, so that the roots of vines can be pierced deeper.
